At Elevate 2024 in Australia, monday.com unveiled exciting features set for 2025, aiming to enhance user capabilities and broaden functionality. Dean Swan, the company’s vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, shared insights on their push towards artificial intelligence. He emphasized that AI is meant to elevate human effort, not replace it. “If we can eliminate the mundane, we free ourselves to focus on strategic and creative tasks—work that truly requires human insight,” he said.
Steve Pearce, vice president of product design, echoed this sentiment, stating that monday.com has always prioritized making technology accessible to everyone, regardless of their tech expertise. He noted that AI holds the potential to transform work processes significantly. “We aim to ensure this technology is easy to adopt and seamlessly integrates into existing workflows,” he told the audience.
The company plans to introduce no-code AI tools that simplify access for users. With just a few clicks, users can utilize “AI building blocks” for tasks like sentiment analysis of large transcripts and information extraction. Pearce highlighted that they aim to enhance their entire product suite using AI to tackle major challenges in areas like project risk management and automated IT ticket resolutions.
For project and work management, monday.com is set to improve its portfolio tools to accommodate larger portfolios and introduce advanced resource management capabilities, including talent utilization tracking and conflict avoidance. The customer relationship management (CRM) tools will also evolve, offering a centralized platform for sales teams to manage resources better, complete with new quote and invoice tracking features and an email marketing campaign builder.
In development, the platform will deliver deeper insights to promote collaboration and performance tracking across teams, integrating with tools like GitHub to enhance data-driven decision-making. Meanwhile, the “monday Service” product, built with an AI-first approach, aims to streamline IT service operations by automating ticket resolutions and improving overall efficiency.
Looking ahead, monday.com executives previewed plans for more standardized tools to improve work management, reporting, and analytics across teams. Their infrastructure improvements with the new mondayDB will boost scalability, allowing for significantly more items on project boards and in dashboards. An upcoming version will support thousands of projects and portfolios.
In terms of structure, monday.com will facilitate the creation of standardized frameworks to enhance oversight without disrupting existing project management styles. They aim to empower teams to aggregate data and define requirements flexibly.
When it comes to reporting, enhancements are underway to build on current dashboard capabilities, enabling users to track historical trends and integrate information from various products into a single, comprehensive view. Plans include the ability to export and share reports in diverse formats and connect to external data sources for a richer analysis.
To address the increasing complexity in workflows, monday.com is developing features that allow users to visually build intricate business processes spanning multiple teams and departments. This system will focus on management and optimization, providing companies with the tools to navigate an evolving work landscape.
Swan noted the shifts many organizations are facing, from hybrid work models to integrating AI into daily tasks, alongside a heightened focus on employee experience. He emphasized the company’s commitment to help businesses manage this changing landscape while fostering an inspiring outlook on future possibilities.
