Cisco recently announced a new full-stack observability product, the Unified Observability Experience, as part of their acquisition of Splunk. This product makes it easy for customers to connect AppDynamics and Splunk Platform, offering new features such as single sign-on credentials and context-aware deep linking. The Unified Observability Experience will be available in the third quarter of 2024.
In addition to this, Cisco and Splunk have also introduced AI tools for decision-making, such as an AI assistant for Cisco AppDynamics and tools for Splunk IT Service Intelligence. Cisco AppDynamics will be hosted on Microsoft Azure as a software-as-a-service, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.
Cisco’s incubator Outshift has collaborated with Mistral AI to offer a generative AI deployment tool called Motific, which is now available for a free trial. This tool helps IT and business teams provision generative AI assistants and applications. Mistral AI’s large language model will be integrated into Motific as a preset model.
Overall, Cisco and Outshift plan to use Mistral AI products for upcoming capabilities in Motific, and Mistral AI is one of the recipients of Cisco’s $1 billion AI global investment fund.
