During the Made by Google presentation on Aug. 13, Google unveiled its latest products including the Pixel 9 phones, new Gemini AI features, the Pixel Watch 3, and the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Rick Osterloh, Google’s Senior Vice President of Platforms and Devices, emphasized the company’s focus on strengthening its ecosystem with AI technology.
The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will be available starting Aug. 22, with features such as 12GB of RAM, ultrawide cameras, and the Google Tensor G4 chip for generative AI. The Pixel 9 Pro comes in two sizes and both models have 16GB of RAM. Preorders for the new Pixel devices are available now.
A standout at the event was the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google’s second-generation flip phone that integrates the Tensor G4 chip into a foldable form factor. The device is priced at $1,799 and is available for preorder. All new Google phones will receive seven years of OS and security updates.
