Increasing Standards Among Developers through a Secure Coding Benchmark

Secure Code Warrior (SCW) has launched the industry’s first benchmark to measure the security competence of software developer teams. The SCW Trust Score aims to assess the impact of organisations’ learning programmes and improve collaboration between security, developer and engineering teams. SCW believes that educating and training developers earlier in the process is crucial for enhancing code security. The Trust Score is based on data from 250,000 learners at over 500 customers, and organisations can compare their score against global and industry-specific benchmarks. SCW hopes that the Trust Score will become an industry standard, encouraging developers to showcase their secure coding skills.
