OpenAI has recently opened the GPT Store, allowing subscribers of ChatGPT to access a variety of purpose-tweaked generative AI chatbots. These chatbots cater to specific needs such as image generation, writing, education, programming, and more. The store provides an opportunity for chatbot creators to showcase their work, while professionals and consumers can find more specialized and practical chatbots compared to ChatGPT.
To access the GPT Store, individuals must have subscriptions to ChatGPT Plus, ChatGPT Enterprise, or ChatGPT Team. The store can be accessed at chat.openai.com/gpts.
OpenAI has already partnered with organizations to provide services through the GPT Store, such as Canva’s GPT for designing social media posts or presentations.
OpenAI plans to introduce a revenue system that will allow chatbot builders in the U.S. to be paid for their creations, starting in Q1 2024. The company has not yet announced whether chatbot builders outside the U.S. will be eligible. More information regarding international support will be provided by OpenAI soon.
Creators who have developed GPTs can offer their chatbots in the store by marking them as available for everyone and completing the Builder Profile in Settings.
Additionally, OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Team, a collaborative environment for teams to share GPTs and prompts. This service provides access to GPT-4 with a 32K token context window. Unlike ChatGPT Enterprise, data within ChatGPT Team is not shared with OpenAI or used for training other generative AI models. ChatGPT Team is available at a cost of $25 per user per year or $30 per month for businesses.
Both ChatGPT Team and the GPT Store are available internationally in supported countries.
